Outdoor portraits among the spring flowers

I have been scouting out new locations to take my clients for outdoor portraits among the spring flowers. And I have discovered some wonderful new places, literally bursting with colour!

Just last week my friend Jackie and I came across this field of vibrant yellow rapeseed. Here’s my daughter Lizzie among them in the gorgeous golden light, just before sunset.

Spring flowers: A photographer’s dream

As always, the beautiful flowers which emerge at this time of year are an absolute delight.

Whether photographed in the morning or at dusk – when you get the best light – daffodils, tulips and blossoms all create a stunning backdrop for outdoor portraits. A photographer’s dream!

Bluebell woods portrait sessions

My first love is the bluebells though. I’m delighted that these beautiful, delicate flowers have emerged once again.

I’ve been busy this past week doing the first of my bluebell woods sessions in my favourite locations across Dorset. Being ever so careful to stick to paths and not damage the crop, of course.

My very own bluebell wood

My own crop of bluebells has some way to go yet – despite planting 3000 in my garden, after a huge excavation project last year, this is what has emerged so far. Excuse the iPhone snap!

It’s certainly progress, but there is some way to get yet! I’m looking forward to being able to photograph clients in my own private bluebells woods in future years though. J

Princess-themed outdoor photoshoots

You’ll notice that several of the portraits I’m sharing here feature princess-inspired dresses.

I’ve recently added to my collection of princess gowns. These are available at no extra charge if you book either an outdoor maternity or family photoshoot.

They come in gorgeous pastel shades and complement the stunning colours of the blossom and bluebells, so are ideal for outdoor portraits among the spring flowers. Aren’t they fabulous?!

What’s even better is that I have them in both adult and a variety of child sizes!

I have been getting some wonderful feedback on these pictures when I share them on my Facebook page, so it seems these are popular with lots of you too.

Timeless outdoor portraits among the spring flowers

Both outdoor family portrait sessions and outdoor maternity and pregnancy sessions are available this spring. (Princess dresses optional!)

However there are just a few slots left for this year as I write this, so if you’d like an outdoor maternity or family portrait session this spring, please don’t delay in booking!

You can contact me on 07749 270431, email me at karenwiltshire@me.com or the contact form on my website. Visit my website for more details of my prices and packages.

I can create stunning outdoor portraits among the spring flowers that I know you’ll adore all year round, and for years to come. I look forward to hearing from you.

Love the princess dress idea Karen, the images look stunning and I'm sure the little girls (and expectant mums) enjoyed being a princess for their photography session. And Lizzie looks fabulous against the yellow of the rapeseed. Lovely images.
